Tragic, Fatal Accident at Sam's Club in Albany, Georgia

According to Albany police officers at the accident scene, the officers responded to the fatal accident at approximately 10:15 in the morning. The officers and first responders attempted an extraction of those trapped in the motor vehicle.
Police reported that one vehicle was heading eastbound in the parking lot of Sam's Club when the driver turned south and heading towards the store's service dock. The motor vehicle continued south and struck a parked trailer at the service dock.
According to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler, the victim, a 55-year-old man from Colquitt, tragically passed away in the collision. His passenger, an 81-year-old woman from Baker County, was transported to a local area hospital with serious injures.
