Teenager Tragically Killed in a Hit-And-Run Accident in DeKalb County, Georgia

DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA - A news article published on macon.com states that a teenage boy was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident last Wednesday in the early morning hours.*  

Law enforcement officers are continuing their search for the hit-and-run driver, according to a DeKalb County Police Department spokesperson.

Accident scene investigators stated that a 15-year-old boy was walking by the Orchard Walk Apartments located on Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, Georgia when he was hit by a car.  The driver illegally fled the scene of the accident. 

The car will likely have front passenger side damage.  Law enforcement officers are asking those with information about the collision to contact the DeKalb County Traffic Specialist or Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta to provide anonymous tips. 

The news report did not provide any additional information about the sedan, driver, or the victim.
