Tragic, Fatal motorcycle Crash on Mike Padgett Highway in Augusta, Georgia

AUGUSTA, GEORGIA - According to an online news report posted on, Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a very serious motor vehicle accident on Mike Padgett Highway.*

The fatal motor vehicle accident occurred at around 1:30 in the afternoon.  The Richmond County Sheriff's Office deputies reported that the motorcycle accident occurred on the 2700 block of Mike Padgett Highway.

The victim, a 62-year-old Cman, was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene.  The report states that the motorcyclist collided with a trailer. 

The Richmond County Coroner's Office and the Richmond County Sheriff's Office's Traffic Division are still investigating the fatal motorcycle accident.  The report did not provide any other details at this time.  Police are continuing to investigate the fatal motorcycle accident. Moreover, there were no reports of criminal charges being file at this time.
