Motor Vehicle Accident on I-20 in Augusta, Georgia

AUGUSTA, GEORGIA - A news report published on wrdw.com states that an accident on the North Augusta side of Interstate-20 caused a significant traffic backup into Georgia.*

The South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that the crash happened at around 5:50 in the evening.  The location of the accident was in the eastbound traffic lane of I-20 before the West Martintown Road exit.

The details about the accident were not clear at this time.  However, traffic was backed up to Riverwatch Parkway.  Motorists were urged to use an alternative route and to avoid the area.
