Fuel Tanker Truck Accident on Eastbound I-595 in Davie, Florida
DAVIE, FLORIDA - According to an online news report published on cbslocal.com, Davie Fire-Rescue put out a tanker truck fire after the truck drove off the interstate and wrecked last Sunday.* According to the Davie Fire-Rescue, the crash occurred at around 4 PM by the area of eastbound I-595 and Davie Road.
FHP Confirms Fatality After Tanker Truck That Drove Off Highway In Davie Catches Fire
The Florida Highway Patrol stated the truck driver, for some unknown reason, lost control of the truck. Troopers for the Florida Highway Patrol confirmed one fatality at the accident scene.
Although the Florida Highway Patrol reported the truck was a fuel tanker, it is not clear if the truck was carrying fuel at the time of the crash.
In addition to shutting down all eastbound traffic lanes at I-595 and Davie Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol also closed down the Florida Turnpike's southbound entrance to I-595.
Drivers were asked to avoid the area. The fuel tanker truck accident is currently under investigation. No further details were provided at this time.
