Fatal Shooting at the Towne West Manor Apartments in Atlanta Tragically Kills an Infant

ATLANTA, GEORIGA - According to an online news report published on cbs46.com, and the infant was tragically killed by a gunshot wound.*  The Atlanta Police stated that the infant was taken to a local area hospital where the baby tragically died of a gunshot wound.*

The Atlanta Police said that they are also investigating what occurred to a man at the scene who also died.  Police stated that when EMS was providing medical attention to the infant, they heard a gunshot.  When law enforcement entered the apartment, they found a man lying dead on the floor.

Towne West Manor Apartments Residents stated that the father had knocked on their apartment doors begging for their help because his child was not breathing.

Atlanta Police Department Homicide Investigators are currently working the scene to ascertain what happened and if any crimes had been committed.  Police stated that no one else was injured.  The Fulton County Medical Examiner will report the cause of death for the infant.
