Worker Tragically Killed in a South Macon Warehouse Forklift Accident
MACON, GEORGIA - A 13wmaz.com news article states that a woman from Taylor County, Georgia, tragically died last Monday morning in a workplace accident.*

At around 9:45 AM, the 911 operators with the communications center stated that they received an emergency call from Gilmer Warehouse and Logistics. The victim was working inside the warehouse at the time of the accident.
According to Leon Jones, the Macon-Bibb County Coroner, the victim was checking the paper, and a forklift driver failed to see her, and she was tragically pinned in her chest, had a heart attack, and tragically passed away. The victim was initially conscious as the EMS arrived but tragically passed away at around 11 AM at the Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center.
The Coroner also stated that the GBI would investigate the case and determine if there will be an autopsy since the case will likely be a worker's compensation case.
The victim, a 56-year-old woman from Reynolds, Georgia, The investigation is ongoing. No criminal charges were filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
