Tragic, Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Gordon Highway in Augusta, Georgia (GA)

AUGUSTA, GEORGIA - A news article posted on wjbf.com reports that one person was tragically killed in a morning accident in Augusta, Georgia.*

The motorcyclist was identified as a 22-year old man who was stationed at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, the fatal motorcycle accident occurred at approximately 1:30 AM. The accident happened last Friday along Gordon Highway at Highland Avenue.

According to the news report, the motorcyclist was stopped at a red light when he was rear-ended by a motor vehicle. He was thrown from his motorcycle and tragically died on the accident scene. No further information was provided.  No criminal charges were filed pending the outcome of the crash investigation.
