Tragic, Fatal Accident in Cobb County Kills One, Injures Two Small Children

The crash tragically killed one person and caused severe injuries to other people involved in the accident. According to the accident news story, police were dispatched to Cooper Lake Road, which is just west of Carriage Lane, at around 2:30 PM. The report states that a red Nissan Sentra was traveling westbound along Cooper Lake Road. Purportedly the Nissan crossed over the median line, entered the eastbound side based on their preliminary investigation. Accident investigators reported that the car collided with a black Toyota Highlander head-on.
The Cobb County Police stated that a man from Austell tragically died at the hospital.
The driver in the Nissan was transported to a local area hospital, where the police reported he passed away due to his accident injuries. Two children, a 10-month-old and a 5 -year-old received medical treatment at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Scottish Rite Hospital. The children sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening injuries. A 35-year-old occupant in the Nissa was also taken to the hospital.
