Auto Accident Involving Multiple Vehicles on the I-20 Eastbound Expressway in Atlanta, Georgia

ATLANTA, GEORGIA - A news report published on Patch.com reports that the Atlanta Police Department released a preliminary accident report on 6/12/21 at around 9:36 PM.*

According to a release from the Atlanta Police Department, Atlanta law enforcement officers responded to a car accident located at 75/85 Northbound/ I-20 Eastbound Expressway. Once the police officers located the motor vehicles involved in the collision, one driver fled the accident scene on foot. The driver purportedly was at fault for the multi-car collision. However, the motor vehicle he was operating overturned during the crash. 

At this time, there are no serious injuries reported. However, Atlanta police officers were working the accident scene and checking on all of the motorists involved in the accident at the time of the news report. The officers worked the accident scene by looking for accident injuries and restoring the Expressway's traffic flow. This accident investigation is currently ongoing at this time.
