Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident on I-285 at the by the Glenwood Road Exit in Atlanta, Georgia
METRO ATLANTA - A news article on wsbtv.com reports that witnesses stated that at least one person was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident on I-285 by the Glenwood Road exit.* The area was closed down by first responders for several hours that Saturday morning.
One witness stated to the reporter that at least one victim was killed in an accident that left one vehicle almost completely destroyed.
The accident is one of a few that occurred on Metro Atlanta roads Saturday morning. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) reported I-20 East, heading toward Atlanta, was closed down in Carroll County following an accident along Interstate-20, just before the Exit 14 ramp.
I-20 was closed down for many hours while first responders cleared the highway.
Atlanta Police responded to a collision at around 5:30 AM along I-20 and the Martin Luther King Jr. exit. The accident involving at least two motor vehicles. All traffic lanes along I-20 were closed down for a few hours, and the highway was opened just after 7 AM. The accidents are currently under investigation.
