Log Truck Accident Closes Down Hwy 80 in Effingham County, Georgia
EDEN, GA - A news article published on wsav.com reports that a multi-vehicle crash involving a log truck closed down Highway 80 close to Old River Road.* The Effingham County Sheriff's Office stated that the accident closed the area for several hours. According to the WSAV article, a log truck upturned and collided with an SUV and a pickup truck. Logs from the logging truck were thrown across the highway.
One witness stated that their neighbors heard the accident at 5:45 p.m. They raced to help those involved in the severe collision.
