Restaurant Owner is Tragically Killed in Cooker Explosion in Tucker, Georgia

TUCKER, GA - A news article published on 11alive.com states that the Dekalb County fire officials reported that a restaurant owner was tragically killed in a cooker explosion last Tuesday.* The fatal accident occurred in a restaurant located on Hugh Howell Road in Tucker, Georgia.  

The report states that fire rescue crews responded to the cooker explosion shortly after 2 PM. When the Emergency Medical Services arrived, they found the woman critically injured. She tragically passed away shortly after she was injured.  

Dekalb County fire officials stated that there wasn't a fire at the time of the accident, and no other injuries were reported. 

Fire investigators stated that the fatal explosion transpired on a tall gas oven cooker she was using to prepare meat. Accident investigators say the blast seemed to be an accident.
