Fatal Accident Tragically Kills Two in Douglas County, Nebraska

VALLEY, NE - A news article published on newschannelnebraska.com states that two people were tragically killed and two more people were injured in a severe accident that occurred around seven miles south of Valley, Nebraska.*  According to Douglas County Chief Sheriff's Deputy Wayne Hudson, reported that an eastbound van crashed with a westbound truck at around 4 PM Saturday. The accident occurred along West Center Road by the Platte River.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, one of the vans was attempting to pass another motor vehicle just prior to it colliding with the other truck. The van's driver and one person in the pickup truck passed away, but law enforcement did not provide the names of those involved in the motor vehicle accident.

The two injured occupants riding in the pickup truck were transported to a local Omaha hospital. Their medical conditions were not provided by law enforcement. The accident investigation is ongoing.
