Bicyclist Tragically Killed After Struck by Car in Vineland
Vineland, NJ – A news article published on wpG talkradio.com states that the Vineland police are investigating a fatal bicycle accident that tragically took the life of a pedestrian.* According to the Vineland Police Department, officers from their department responded to an accident in the area of N. 3rd St. and West Park Avenue. The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 PM and involved a car and a Cyclist. The Vineland Police Department stated that when their officers arrived at the scene of the accident, the cyclist was alive but had sustained life-threatening injuries.
The Vineland Police Department States provided a preliminary investigation report that a 54-year-old man from Vineland was driving west along W. Park Avenue and in the inside lane. The report states that a Cyclist who was later identified as a man from Vineland was also heading west and in the same traffic lane when he was struck from behind by the car. According to the report, the collision caused life-threatening injuries, and the cyclist tragically passed away at the scene of the accident.
The Vineland Police departments traffic safety unit was called out to the scene due to the severity of the accident and the tragic loss of life.
