Georgia Fire Investigator Killed in a Motorcycle Accident in Bibb County, Georgia

BIBB COUNTY, GA - A news article posted on fox5atlanta.com reports that the Macon-Bibb County Fire Department is grieving the tragic death of one of their lieutenants who was killed in a recent motorcycle accident.*

Law enforcement officials stated that the 48-year-old Lieutenant Ben Gleaton and his 47-year-old wife were traveling on a three-wheeled motorcycle.  The accident report states that the couple went off the road and then rolled over on U.S. 80 close to Tidwell Road.

Emergency medical services transported the couple to a local area hospital.  At the time, the husband was listed in critical medical condition.  However, he was not able to survive his serious motorcycle accident injuries.  Law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the fatal accident.
