Motor Vehicle Accident on the 10th Street Bridge in Port Huron, Georgia
PORT HURON, GEORGIA - A news report posted on thetimesherald.com states that the 10th Street Bridge in Port Huron, Georgia, was closed after an accident last Saturday.* According to Port Huron Police Lieutentant Brian Georgia, a motor vehicle struck the draw bridge signal pole then collided with a traffic light pole at aournd 7:05 PM. The motor vehicle's driver was transported to a local area hostpital. The 24-year-old man from Imlay City is listed in stable medical condition.
Lieutentant Brian Georgia stated that witnesses reported the vehicle may have been traveling at high speeds just before the accident. He stated that a preliminary investigation suggests the driver may have been suffering a medical issue prior to the accident.
The accident was reported at around 7:05 PM. The bridge was closed to traffic for a several hours to investigate the accident.
