I-85 Accident by Flat Shoals Road in Union City, Georgia

UNION CITY, GA - In a news report published on 11alive.com, a serious accident blocked Interstate 85 southbound by Flat Shoals Road in Union City, Georiga.*  According to the news story, drivers in the area were redirected to Highway 29 into Union City or Fairburn.  The collision happened on Tuesday morning.

The Georgia Department of Transportation reported that two cars and two trucks were involved in the severe accident.  The accident first responders states that the accident was cleared up by 9 a.m.  At the time of the news article s of that time, they said one right lane remains blocked.

Also happening, at 8 a.m. is a jackknifed tractor trailer on I-285 eastbound before Clark Howell Highway that is blocking all lanes on the collector feeder ramp.
