Tragic, Fatal Motorcycle Accident Near Christmas, Florida (FL)
CHRISTMAS, FL - A news story on news-journalonline.com reports that a DeLand motorcyclist was tragically killed last Sunday afternoon near Christmas, Florida.*
According to the accident report, the motorcycle accident occurred along State Road 520 and Nova Road by the Orange-Brevard County border. The Florida Highway Patrol stated the accident happened at around 2:15 in the afternoon.
The motorcycle accident tragically took the life of a 54-year-old man. According to the Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes, the motorcyclist is from DeLand, Florida. He was heading east along SR 520 when he collided with a pickup truck driven by a 43-year-old Hortense woman. The motorcyclist was ejected from his motorcycle and tragically died at the accident scene.
A second motorcyclist, a 42-year-old man from Oviedo, Florida, was also heading east along on SR 520. He swerved to avoid colliding with the other motorcyclist and the other vehicle.
The pickup truck's driver was not injured, and the fatal motorcycle accident is currently under investigation.
