Pedestrian Struck and Killed By a Vehicle on Veterans Parkway in Columbus, Georgia

COLUMBUS, GA - A news report published on wtvm.com states that a pedestrian was tragically killed in an accident with a car on Friday night.  The pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle in Columbus, Georgia, on Veterans Parkway by River Road.*

According to Freeman Worley, the Muscogee County Deputy Coroner, the victim was confirmed deceased at 10:56 PM.  The victim's identity was not made public.  The fatal pedestrian accident is currently under investigation.  The news report did not disclose if the driver remained at the accident scene or if criminal charges were pending.
