Georgia man dies after a fatal crash on Cumberland Parkway in Columbia, Kentucky
COLUMBIA, KY - A news report published on wbko.com reports that a man from Dawson, Georgia, was involved in a fatal 18-wheeler tractor-trailer truck accident.*
According to Kentucky State Police, the Georgia man tragically died after he allegedly crossed the road's median and continued onto the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Parkway westbound shoulder.
The fatal accident occurred at Mile Marker 46 at around 7 AM. According to Kentucky State Police, the Dawson man was driving a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia during the fatal accident. Multiple emergency first responder agencies arrived at the accident scene, according to the Kentucky State Police.
The accident victim was wearing his seatbelt. He was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Adair County Coroner.
The fatal truck accident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
