Three Injured in a Five Vehicle Accident on I-495 in Montgomery County, Maryland

According to an online news report posted on mymcmedia.org, three separate drivers were involved in a serious motor vehicle accident on the I-495 Outerloop in Montgomery County, Maryland.* All three drivers were transported to a local area hospital on Friday morning following a five-vehicle accident.

According to the Maryland State police, the multi-car accident happened at approximately nine in the morning. The location of the multivehicle accident was Georgia Avenue and Connecticut Avenue.  All I-495 Outerloop traffic lanes were temporarily shut down as four motor vehicles were removed from the accident scene.  The Maryland State police stated that all lanes were reopened a few hours after the accident. No additional details about the accident were provided in the news report. 

The names of the victims involved in the interstate 495 accident were not released to the public. The new story did not state whether criminal charges will be filed. The Maryland State police are investigating the cause of the accident.
