Two Lake Park Women Were Tragically Killed in an Accident Close to Hahira, Georgia

HAHIRA, GA - A news story published on valdostadailytimes.com reports that two Lake Park women were tragically killed in a car accident near Hahira, Georgia, in Lowndes County.*

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the fatal motor vehicle accident occurred at around 7:10 p.m. on Chug-A-Lug Road by the intersection with Hardee Drive.  Georgia State Patrol Post 31's Corporal Brian Cox stated that the two women were standing outside their motor vehicle when they were hit and killed by another motor vehicle. 

The two Lake Park women were named in the news report. The fatal accident is under investigation by the  Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.  No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
