Teenager is Recovering in the Intensive Care Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital Following a Serious Skateboarding Accident

February 22, 2021

FAYETTE COUNTY, GA - A news article on reports that a 17-year-old from Fayette County is recovering at an intensive care unit at Grady Memorial Hospital following a very severe skateboarding accident.*

According to the news report, the Fayette County community has been rallying around the injured teen.  According to his mother, her son, a senior at McIntosh High School, was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The Peachtree City police verified that the officers answered an accident call at Tivoli Garden Road around 5:45 in the evening.  It is not clear how the skateboarding accident occurred.  The teen's mother posted an update that her son is stable but will be staying in the ICU for another 24 to 48 hours.  The boy is, fortunately, becoming more responsive to stimuli.

The family is active in their community.  A GoFundMe was set up and is found on the news report.
