Tragic, Fatal Two-vehicle Accident on Highway 79 in Dean, Texas
DEAN, TX - A news story published on texomashomepage.com reports that Texas DPS officials have identified the victim who was killed in a two-vehicle accident along Highway 79 North of the city of Dean.*
The victim was identified as an 18-year-old man from Wichita Falls, Texas. According to officials, the victim was a student at the Wichita Falls Independent School District and graduated from Rider High School.
According to law enforcement officers, the victim was traveling southbound along Highway 78 in a Ford Escape at approximately 4:15 pm when suddenly he lost control and turned into the northbound traffic lane. The victim collided head-on with Mack tractor-trailer truck. The victim was ejected from his car and was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The truck driver, a man from Waukomis, Oklahoma, was not hurt.
Law enforcement officials stated that the fatal two-vehicle accident is currently under investigation.
