Tragic, Fatal Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Macon, Georgia (GA)

The driver, a 54-year-old woman in a Volvo S60, was driving on Martin Luther King Boulevard when a 25-year-old man was attempting to cross the road was and struck the man. No one else was hurt in the accident. The victim was taken to Navicent Hospital, and was listed in critical medical condition. Tragically, the victim passed away from his injuries.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the fatal pedestrian accident that happened around 6:20p.m. Macon-Bibb emergency responders worked with the Bibb County Sheriff's deputies to assist those involved in the accident, direct traffic, clean up the accident, and conduct an official investigation. The streets from Hawthorne Street to Houston Avenue were closed during the investigation.
