Macon Pedestrian Killed in a Hit-by-Car Pedestrian Accident in Macon, Georgia (GA)

MACON, Ga - A news article on 13wmaz.com reports that Leon Jones, the Macon-Bibb Coroner, identified a female pedestrian who was killed in a car-pedestrian collision.*  Mr. Jones identified the woman as a 35-year-old. Her name will not be released in this article. 

The pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Houston Avenue and Eisenhower Parkway at approximately 7 a.m. The Macon pedestrian accident victim was taken to a local area hospital with severe injuries after she was hit by a car on Eisenhower Parkway.

Witnesses of the pedestrian accident stated that a man was traveling east along in the left lane of Eisenhower Parkway when he struck the 35-year-old woman.

The driver said that he did not see the victim until after she stepped into the road.

The victim was transported to the Navicent Health Medical Center. The news release states that her injuries were very serious, but she was in stable medical condition. There were no other injuries in the pedestrian accident, which is currently under investigation, and no criminal charges were filed against the driver.
