Five People Injured in a I-20 Accident in Augusta, Georgia (GA)
AUGUSTA, GA - According to an accident news report posted on wrdw.com, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a severe multi-vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 20 by mile marker 201. The location of the accident was close to the Georgia Welcome Center.
According to Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigating the accident scene, three motor vehicles were involved in the wreck, and all of the occupants were transported to a local area hospital. Five people were taken to a local area hospital.
Gold Cross reported that the emergency calls began coming in at approximately 7:35 p.m. However, ambulances could not pass through traffic quickly, and the ambulances arrived 20 minutes after the initial call. The EMS crew called for another ambulance the moment they arrived at the accident scene.
The medical condition of the accident victims was not released. The accident is currently under investigaiton.
