Deadly Accident Closes I-85 in South Fulton for Several Hours
According to a news report published on AJC.com, Georgia State Patrol troopers and the South Fulton police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Interstate-85 N at the Senoia Road exit.*
According to law enforcement, one person was tragically killed in a seven-car accident on Tuesday morning. Law enforcement officers closed down all northbound lanes of I-85 in order to conduct an investigation and to take care of the injured parties.
Franka Young, the Georgia State Patrol spokeswoman, stated that Georgia State Patrol troopers were dispatched to the seven-car accident at approximately 7 in the morning. The South Fulton police were investigating the accident but asked the Georgia State Patrol to forensically map the accident scene. The Georgia State Patrol’s share of the accident investigation was completed at around 8:40 a.m. South Fulton police did not release any additional information about the accident, including the condition of the people involved in the accident.
The traffic accident footage collected by the Georgia Department of Transportation revealed that there were several motor vehicles that collided with a concrete median, and there were multiple tractor-trailers involved in the accident.
