Truck Accident on NB Talmadge Bridge in Savannah, Georgia

According to an online news report published on, the NB Talmadge Bridge in Savannah, Georgia, has been reopened following a serious semi-truck accident.*

According to Savannah police, the Talmadge Bridge was reopened after an accident involving an 18-wheeler semi-tractor-trailer truck. Police shut down the Talmadge Bridge temporarily to investigate the accident.  Drivers were delayed for several hours as workers investigated and cleared the accident scene.  Police are investigating the semi-truck accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon.  

Police say the closure of the Talmadge Bridge lasted for around two hours. Law enforcement officers stated that they diverted traffic to I-95 for motorists to travel to South Carolina.  The accident is currently under investigation.
