Fatal Accident at Blackwell Street and Cliff Holcomb Drive in Ball Ground
According to an on online news report published on tribuneledgernews.com, a fatal accident tragically killed two people in accident involving a small pickup truck and a concrete truck on Ball Ground Highway.
The collision occurred on Monday afternoon. Police officers and fire personnel were called out to an accident scene on Ball Ground Highway at about 4:12 p.m. Monday. The crash occurred between Blackwell Street and Cliff Holcomb Drive along Ball Ground Highway. The emegency responders needed to use special accident equipment from two different wrecker services to help in to stabilizing the concrete truck and to help extract the accident victims from the horrific wreckage.
According to Chief Bryon Reeves, the Ball Ground police officers helped the State Highway Patrol in the investigation, the identification of the accident the victims, and notifying the victims' families. Ball Ground police also help to direct traffic away from the accident scene as fire and EMS personnel worked to assist and extract the accident victims.
All traffic was diverted to flow through a Shell Station parking lot on Ball Ground Highway to help motorists move around the accident site, according to Chief Bryon Reeves of the Ball Ground Police. Chief Bryon Reeves stated that the accident scene was cleared and the highway was opened to all traffic by at 7:30 p.m.
