Early Morning Crash Occurs in North Charleston
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC-Live5news.com writes that a collision occurred in South Carolina early in the morning this week. Reports indicate that only one vehicle was involved in the incident. The car sustained severe damage to its front end.*
Responders were called to the scene of the crash, which took place on International Boulevard close to Interstate 526.
Single-vehicle collisions often occur because a driver loses control of his or her automobile and either rolls over or collides with a fixed object along the side of the road. While the weather can increase crash risks, most of these wrecks are completely avoidable, and many are extremely deadly. About one in three people who die in car accidents are killed in collisions that involve a vehicle running off the roadway. Run-off-the-road crashes are even more common in rural areas where they account for two-thirds of fatal wrecks.
Severe single-vehicle crashes often involve a driver who is under the influence, speeding, drowsy, or distracted. While many of us are responsible drivers most of the time, a momentary lapse in judgment can lead to a deadly crash.
