Two Tragically Killed in Brunswick Georgia Collision

BRUNSWICK, GA- Thebrunswicknews.com writes that a head-on collision killed two people at an intersection in Brunswick. The crash occurred earlier this week at the intersection of the FJ Torras Causeway and Glynn Avenue.*

One of the victims died at the scene of the accident, and another individual died later in the hospital. No additional information is yet available regarding the cause of the wreck or identities of the victims. 

Intersections are complicated and many accidents occur at these crossroads. Drivers who enter an intersection are often looking out for vehicles moving in different directions and sometimes for cyclists and pedestrians as well. Another improvement could come in the form of a safer intersection design. Studies indicate that roundabouts drastically reduce the number of collisions that occur each year at intersections. Fatalities drop by about 90 percent when roundabouts are used rather than a crossroad intersection.
