Several People Involved in Crash in Alpharetta Crash in Georgia

January 02, 2020

ALPHARETTA, GA - 11alive.com writes that a severe collision occurred at the intersection of Haynes Bridge Road and Mansell Road in Georgia. Both roads were ultimately closed because of the accident.*

Police did not report any fatalities and asked that drivers avoid the area because clearing the road would require time. They also stated that multiple people were hospitalized due to the incident. Reports do not include the number of injured people or the number of vehicles involved in the accident.

Many crashes occur at intersections because these spots in the road are complicated, and safe traveling through them relies on drivers exercising caution and staying alert.

Other intersection crashes occur because a driver travels through a red light or a stop sign. When a driver violates a traffic signal, the result can be a T-bone collision or side-impact crash. When a car strikes another car on the side, the results for the people in the vehicle hit on its side can be catastrophic. Cars are designed with the majority of their protections in place to help occupants in front or rear impact crashes.
