Crash Victim Critical After Marietta, Georgia Collision
MARIETTA, GA- Northwestgeorgianews.com writes that a car accident in Marietta left one person with life-threatening injuries. The incident occurred on Powder Springs Road in the middle of the night earlier this week.*
Police reports indicate that a 2005 Mercedes E500 rear-ended a 2017 Nissan Rogue while both vehicles were heading southbound. The force of the impact caused the Mercedes to spin out and crash into a sign and a utility pole on the side of the roadway.
The person operating the Mercedes suffered severe life-threatening injuries in the accident, and responders transported the individual to the Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment. A 21-year-old woman was also in the Mercedes at the time and she suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The individuals in the Nissan, a 52-year-old man, and a 42-year-old woman, also sustained injuries in the crash.
The police department is now looking into the cause of the crash and requesting that any witnesses come forward.
