Hit-And-Run Driver Tragically Kills Teen in Whitefield County, Georgia
WHITEFIELD COUNTY, GA- Newschannel9.com writes that a driver struck and killed an eighteen-year-old pedestrian in the early morning hours over the weekend. The accident took place at the intersection of Georgia State Highway 3 and Maddox Chapel Road.*
The teen died at the crash site. Police identified the victim as a boy from Calhoun. Georgia State Police are investigating the incident and are still searching for the driver. Reports indicate that police found evidence at the scene suggesting that a northbound Buick sedan hit the victim.
Police are telling people in the area to be on the lookout for a 2000 to 2002 Buick Century Special Edition, Buick Century standard model, or Buick Regal with damage to its windshield and front end. The color of the vehicle is unknown.
