WASHINGTON COUNTY, VA – According to an online news report at southwesttimes.com, a man tragically dies in an accident on Interstate 81. The accident occurred over this past weekend.*
A man, aged 86, from Rogersville, Tennessee, was driving on Interstate 81 where he stopped his vehicle, a 2015 Nissan Sentra, the northbound lane of Interstate 81 at mile marker 26 in Washington County, Virginia, per a spokesperson with the Virginia State Police (VSP).
The spokesperson indicates that the VSP received a report of a Nissan that was going at a low rate speed and without its lights on. It appears that the 86-year-old may have been experiencing a medical emergency at the time of the crash. The Virginia State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
