Car Hits Pedestrian, Crashes into Building on NW 211th St. in Miami Gardens, Florida

MIAMI GARDENS, FL. – According to a news report published online at, a car hit a pedestrian and then crashed into a building off of Northwest 211th Street in Miami Gardens, Florida. The pedestrian and the driver of the car sustained injuries, according to the report. No one involved in the accident has been identified.*

The incident took place in the early morning at the intersection of Northwest 211th Street and Northwest 37th Avenue. The Miami Gardens Police Department and Local 10 report that at approximately 6 a.m., a car was traveling in the area, and the driver somehow lost control. The car ended up striking a pedestrian and then running into a building. 

Extremely limited information about the accident was included in the Local 10 report. The make and model of the car was not provided, nor was any descriptive information about the car. It is not clear what events transpired before the car ran into the pedestrian or what caused the car to crash into the building.

The building was not described, so it is unclear if it was a business or residence. It is also unclear if anyone was inside the building when the crash took place.

Local 10 reports that the pedestrian was injured in the accident and taken to a nearby hospital. The pedestrian was not identified in the report. His or her injuries were said to consist of a broken leg. A current condition was not reported. 

In addition, Local 10 reports that the driver of the car was also injured in the crash. It is not clear if this person required transport to a hospital. No identifying information about him or her was provided in the report. The extent of his or her injuries was also not clear. The car was reportedly towed from the scene.
