Accident Causes Lanes of Interstate 75 to be Blocked Due to Accident in Macon, Georgia

MACON, GA – According to an inline news report at 13wmaz.com, an accident caused the blockage of all lanes of Interstate 75 in Macon, Georgia.  The crash occurred this past weekend.*

Update: The accident occurred on Interstate 75 in Bibb County which blocked all lanes of the highway over this past weekend, per Georgia 511.  This is a website that is operated by the Georgia Department of Transportation, which indicated that the accident occurred close to North Pierce Avenue.  

A sergeant with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office indicates that the accident was a two-vehicle crash.   It appears that one vehicle was attempting to change lanes on Interstate 75 when it hit another vehicle.  One of the vehicles flipped over. Injuries have been reported.   The identification of the accident victims as well as their ages have been released to the public.
