Bainbridge Public Safety Responded to Two Different Vehicular Crashes within Fifteen Minutes of Each Other
BAINBRIDGE, GA – According to an online news report at wctv.tv, the Bainbridge Public Safety (BPS) was dispatched to the scene of two different car crashes that occurred within fifteen minutes of each other earlier this week.*
During the rush hour commute, the first accident occurred on Faceville Highway. Police came upon the scene where several Good Samaritans were attempting to extract the driver from a truck that overturned onto another truck. It appears that the larger truck, which was carrying two passengers, was going northbound and crossed over the center line. As a result, it collided into another truck that was heading south, per the BPS. The operator of the second truck had to be freed from the truck by the Jaws of Life. This individual, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the first truck were also transported to an area hospital for treatment. The first accident was turned over to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, the Decatur Fire and Rescue, and the Georgia State Patrol. The second accident was called in 15 minutes after the first accident. The BPS responded to this crash, which involved a vehicle that rolled over on Highway 84. A vehicle was forced off of the left side of the roadway by another vehicle, per authorities.
“As the driver attempted to regain control, the vehicle crossed back over the road and down the embankment on the right side, causing the vehicle to flip,” BPS stated in a Facebook post. “Fortunately, a 3-year-old child was buckled in a car seat and survived the rollover accident.”
All three passengers in the second vehicle were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
