Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident on U.S. 280 in Shelby County, Alabama

SHELBY COUNTY, ALABAMA - An accident news article published on cbs42.com states that a fatal single-vehicle accident occurred last Friday morning in Shelby County, Alabama.*

The motor vehicle accident tragically killed a man from Georgia. The victim, a 45-year-old man from Lagrange, Georgia, was fatally injured in the crash. The report states that the victim's 2020 International tractor-trailer, for some unknown reasons, left the road and crashed with a guardrail and a tree along U.S. 280 in Chelsea, Alabama. 

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division are investigating the cause of the severe motor vehicle accident. There were no reports of criminal charges or other people harmed in the motor vehicle accident. No additional details concerning the cause of the crash.
