Tragic, Fatal Four-Car Accident in Haines City, Florida

HAINES CITY, FLORIDA - According to an online news article published on theledger.com, a 17-year-old from Poinciana was tragically killed in a four-car accident in Haines City, Florida.*

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the male accident victim was operating his sedan west along Hinson Avenue East, just west of Power Line Road, as three other motor vehicles were traveling east on the same road. For an unknown reason, the 17-year-old's vehicle crossed over the centerline of the roadway and struck a 53-year-old Kissimmee man's car almost head-on. 

Law enforcement officials stated that the 17-year-old's sedan began to spin around, and then the vehicle crashed into a Lake Alfred man who was driving a pickup truck. The car then rolled over and collided with a second truck driven by a 59-year-old Poinciana man. Florida Highway Patrol stated the drivers were uninjured in their accident media release.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old tragically died at the scene of the accident.

In its media release, law enforcement officials report that all of the drivers involved in this accident were wearing seatbelts. The accident is currently under investigation. No additional information has been provided.
