Tragic, Fatal Pedestrian Collision on SR-528 in Orange County, Florida
ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA - According to an online news article published on clickorlando.com, a 46-year-old man from Orlando was tragically struck and killed in a pedestrian accident on State Road 528 in Orange County, Florida.*
The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the collision occurred at around 8 in the evening last Thursday. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the man was struck by a Fed-Ex truck by the Dallas Mainline Toll Plaza.
According to the report, an Orlando man was standing by his motor vehicle that was parked on the shoulder of SR-528. Suddenly a Fed-Ex Truck drove into the area, and the Orlando man may have walked into the path of the Fed-Ex truck. Tragically, the man was declared deceased at the accident scene, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Florida Highway Patrol reported that troopers were blocking the westbound traffic lanes of State Road 520. The troopers were also assisting an accident involving a marked Florida Highway Patrol patrol car that was hit by a civilian vehicle. The trooper involved in the collision was taken to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening accident-related injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol Troopers closed the westbound lanes during the accident investigation. No further information was provided at this time.
