Six People Injured in a Multi-vehicle Accident on I-95 By the Jacksonville Airport
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA - According to an online news report published on news4jax.com, a multi-vehicle accident along Interstate 95 closed several traffic lanes last Sunday morning.*
The major motor vehicle collision caused traffic delays. According to Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, there were six people injured and taken to local area hospitals following the severe motor vehicle accident. The news article reports that none of the accident-related injuries were life-threatening.
The report states that the accident occurred at around ten in the morning. The severe accident occurred along southbound I-95 by Airport Road. Traffic video cameras revealed that the first responders were checking on a toppled motor vehicle and an overturned U-Haul truck that were at rest in the middle of the I-95. There were at least three motor vehicles involved in the accident.
Two or more traffic lanes were shut down after the accident, but traffic began to flow by around one in the afternoon. The motor vehicle accident is currently under investigation. No reports of criminal charges or additional information about the injured were reported at this time.
Approximately ten days ago, an accident involving 35 motor vehicles occurred in the same area. There were at least eleven people injured in that accident.
