Tragic, Fatal Golf Cart Rollover Accident in DeFuniak Springs, Florida

DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, FLORIDA - According to an online news report published on wjhg.com, a DeFuniak Springs resident was tragically killed in a golf cart rollover accident last Thursday afternoon.*

Florida Highway Patrol troopers stated that the accident occurred in Walton County, Florida, just after five in the evening.  Law enforcement officials reported that the 71-year-old victim was operating a golf cart along New Harmony Loop. 

Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that the accident victim approached County Road 2-A, lost control of his golf cart, and the golf cart overturned killing the driver.  Law enforcement investigators stated that the golf cart driver was thrown off of the motor vehicle and the golf cart tragically landed on top of the man.  Florida Highway Patrol troopers stated that the victim was taken to a local area hospital where he tragically died from his accident-related injuries.
