Fatal Motorcycle Accident on East Colonial Drive in Orange County, Florida
ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA - According to an online news report published on clickorlando.com, a motorcyclist tragically died in a motorcycle accident last Tuesday night in Orange County, Florida.*
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcycle struck the rear end of a car. Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that the fatal accident occurred by East Colonial.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that a car was heading westbound on East Colonial Drive and attempted to make a U-turn by Bonneville Drive at around 10:40 PM. The car was then struck from behind by a 25-year-old man from Orlando who was riding a motorcycle.
Law enforcement officials stated that the motorcyclist was moving at a high rate of speed and the motorcycle rider failed to slow down prior to hitting the vehicle. The motorcyclist was transported to a local area hospital, where he tragically passed away.
The fatal motorcycle accident is currently under investigation. No additional information was provided at this time.
