Tragic, Fatal Head-on Collision in Disney World in Florida
According to an online news report published on aroundosceola.com, a Valrico man and a woman from Covington, Louisiana, were tragically killed in a single-vehicle accident along U.S. Highway 192 by World Drive.*
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that around 2:30 in the morning, a 25-year-old man was driving his Nissan Rogue westbound along Highway 192. At some point and for some unknown reason, the man did not negotiate a curve and crashed the vehicle. The man's car left Highway 192 and flipped over into a pond. Tragically, his 28-year-old passenger was declared deceased at the accident scene, and the driver was taken to Celebration Hospital. He tragically passed away at the hospital.
The Florida Highway Patrol issued an accident report concerning a separate accident that occurred on Poinciana Boulevard. This head-on collision tragically killed a man and seriously injured another driver. At around 3:50 PM, a truck driver from Haines City was heading northbound and purportedly swerved off the road.
According to the report, the driver overcorrected and entered into the southbound lanes by Isles of Bellalago Drive and into the path of an SUV. The SUV driver's name and age were not released. He tragically passed away at the accident scene. These tragic accidents are currently under investigation.
