Crestview Man Tragically Killed in a Motorcycle Accident on I-10

OKALOOSA COUNTY, FLORIDA - A news article published on wjhg.com reports that a Crestview man was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate-10.*

According to the news report, a vehicle struck the motorcyclist while he was driving along Interstate 10 in Okaloosa County, Florida.  The fatal motorcycle accident occurred last Tuesday near mile marker 66, said Florida Highway Patrol.

Florida Highway Patrol reported that the motorcyclist was heading eastbound with a car traveling behind. Law enforcement authorities stated that the car struck the back of the motorcycle.  The collision threw the motorcyclist off of his motorcycle and into the shoulder.

Emergency first responders and other motorists stopped to help the motorcyclist, but the motorcyclist tragically passed away.  Florida Highway Patrol stated that the motorcyclist, a 68-year-old man from Crestview, Florida, was wearing his motorcycle helmet.  The driver of the car was not hurt.  The fatal motorcycle accident is under further investigation, and no criminal charges were reported at this time.
