One Person Tragically Killed in Lake County Accident on SR-44

LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA - A news article published on wesh.com reports that one person was tragically killed in a severe accident in Lake County, Florida.*

The motor vehicle accident occurred on Monday.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motor vehicle accident transpired along SR-44 at Fentress Lane.  The crash happened at around six in the morning. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided head-on. The report states that one of the motor vehicles flipped over, and the driver in that car was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene.  Florida Highway Patrol troopers are currently investigating the motor vehicle accident.  

All traffic lanes along Highway SR-44 were closed down to investigate and clear the accident.  No further information was provided by the report.  No criminal charges were reported at this time.
