Fatal Rear-end Collision on Interstate-75 in Wildwood, Florida
WILDWOOD, FLORIDA - A news article posted on dailycommercial.com reports that a 21-year-old woman from Ocala, Florida, was tragically killed in a rear-end collision with a firetruck.*
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the report states that the fatal accident occurred last Friday on Interstate 75. The woman was heading northbound on I-75 when the accident happened at around 2:50 in the morning.
The accident occurred by Mile Marker 327 on Interstate-75 about one mile south of the Florida Turnpike. The driver crashed into the rear of a Sumter County firetruck. The firetruck had stopped in an outside traffic lane and was working a separate accident.
According to the accident report, the firetruck’s emergency lights were flashing. The Florida Highway Patrol did not publish the accident victims' names. No additional details have been reported at this time.
